A Blog-aversary, a give-away & New Products

You may remember way back to this post, when I mentioned that we had a fun new product coming out. It seems like it has taken us a while to get going but we are finally ready to show off our new fill in announcements and invitations.





We are so excited about these! Of course we always make things that we love and we would be proud to send our friends and family and these definitely fit the bill! With their small size (a little bigger than 4" x 4") and with just a hint of sparkle, they will certainly be a great start to any party or celebration.

Each 10 card pack is printed on bright white paper and has been hand embellished for that extra special touch. Envelopes are included.

Look for them soon on our website or in our Etsy store. Of course, you can always contact us at info@alittlebirdietoldme.ca if you would like to order some.

Now, on to more important details!
It has been exactly one year since we started chronicling the (slow but steady) growth of our baby, A Little Birdie Told Me on this wee blog. We took a break during the summer when we got busy (yeah!) with some client jobs but we have big things planned for the fall.

To celebrate we would like to give you a gift!!

Pretty in Pink!

Saturday August 15th at Glen Abbey, Amanda wed Scott. And it was lovely! My own husband (our wedding pics to come...) and I were lucky enough to attend, and can attest to the fabulous weather, food and fun that was had by this gorgeous couple!

I was very excited to see our design in action, and Amanda knew this; she was so sweet to send me pictures to brag! ha ha

Long weekend

Its almost the long weekend and I'm counting the minutes until it starts.

For the past two weeks I've been trying to figure out how to set up downloads. We have someone much smarter than me working on this and soon I will have some great Friday Freebies. In the meantime have a great long weekend!

Summer is Sweet

Yes it is! And there is nothing sweeter than an evening spent with friends, good wine and lots of candy. This past weekend we had our annual summer gathering with friends. The weather did not cooperate and we were forced to move indoors but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Since it is usually too hot in mid August to be using the stove and worrying about fussy cooking I decided to do a candy bar. What could be more fun than a table full of colourful candy and treats?

A quick trip to the bulk store for all the bright candy I could find, some vases, colourful table cloth and fun labels and this is the result. 

The kids and adults loved it and we made the best of our time indoors. As summer winds down I hope you all enjoy the rest of the warm weather.

In case anyone is wondering about our well being I can assure you that we have not run off to join the circus or been abducted by aliens. Things have been pretty hectic around here. Wedding season has kept us on our feet but we have just about wrapped everything up.

We should be checking back in more frequently in the next little bit. We have some great projects to share and exciting new products we hope you will love. In the meantime I have included a shot of my bulletin board. That's our very own Nicole's wedding invitation. Her big day is right around the corner and she will be sharing all of the details when she gets back from her honeymoon. Next to that is an invitation for Danielle's wee ones first birthday party. We also have some post to show some of the great things she has designed for her daughter throughout the year including baby announcements, baptism invitations and of course, the big birthday bash.
